كأول سعودية تتقلد هذا المنصب .. تعيين شيماء طارق رقبان مديرا تنفيذياً مناوباً لمجموعة البنك الأفريقي
أعلنت المملكة العربية السعودية، اليوم، تعيين الأستاذة شيماء طارق رقبان بمنصب المدير التنفيذي المناوب لدى مجموعة البنك الأفريقي للتنمية وصندوق التنمية الأفريقي، لتصبح رقبان بذلك أول امرأة سعودية تتقلد هذا المنصب الدولي المهم.
وتعدّ رقبان خبيرة مالية ومحاسبة بخبرة تتجاوز 9 سنوات في مجال تمويل البنية التحتية الأساسية والمحاسبة المالية والمحاسبة الضريبية والشؤون الدولية، كما عملت، خلال مسيرتها المهنية في وزارة المالية، على قيادة الجهود المتعلقة بالعديد من المنتديات الدولية والأنشطة المالية العالمية الناشئة الجديدة.
إضافة إلى ذلك تقلدت رقبان منصب رئيس إدارة المؤسسات المالية الدولية في الوزارة منذ أغسطس 2021م، وتولت منصب مستشار سياسات أول لفريق العمل الخاصة بالبنية التحتية لمجموعة العشرين في المسار المالي تحت رئاسة المملكة لمجموعة العشرين ، إذ عملت مع نُظرائها في المجموعة، وبنوك التنمية متعدِّدة الأطراف والمؤسسات الدولية، لوضع توصيَّات السياسات والأولويات.
يشار إلى أن البنك الأفريقي للتنمية يعد مؤسسة تمويلية تنموية متعددة الأطراف أنشئت للمساهمة في التنمية الاقتصادية والتقدم الاجتماعي في البلدان الأفريقية، ويهدف إلى محاربة الفقر وتحسين ظروف المعيشية في القارة من خلال تشجيع استثمار رأس المال العام والخاص في المشاريع والبرامج التي من المأمول أن تساهم في التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية في المنطقة.
Shaima Ragaban Appointed Saudi Alternate Executive Director

Saudi Arabia today announced the appointment of Shaima Ragaban as Saudi Arabia’s Alternate Executive Director at the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) and the African Development Fund, making Ragaban the first Saudi woman to hold this important international position.
Ragaban is a financial expert and accountant with more than nine years of experience in infrastructure financing, financial accounting, tax accounting, and international affairs. During her career at the Saudi Ministry of Finance she has led efforts related to various international forums and new emerging global financial activities.
She served as Head of the International Financial Institutions Department at the Ministry since August 2021. Ragaban assumed the position of Senior Policy Advisor to the G20 Infrastructure Working Group in the finance track under the G20 Saudi Presidency, working with her G20 counterparts, multilateral development banks, and international institutions to develop policy recommendations and priorities.
The African Development Bank Group is a multilateral development financing institution established to contribute to economic development and social progress in African countries. It aims to combat poverty and improve living conditions on the continent by encouraging investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region.
